Keeping you informed
We are excited to announce that Dolphin Shores has now completed its long-term renovations.
As part of our continuous improvement strategy, this stage of renovation sees new paint and carpet throughout. We have also added LAN connection ports, improved lighting indoors and out, introduced new furniture, upgraded insulation, and increased the size of the main sun deck.
Last year we added an outdoor play set for the kids, featuring slide, cubby, swing and trapeze. This year we have added three adult mountain bikes with helmets, two beach kayaks with life vests, and supplemented our in-house movie selection and free wi-fi with a streaming box and LAN port access.
Anticipating our guests' needs is an integral part of preparing Dolphin Shores. We have now upgraded our coffee machine and added an air-fryer to compliment our already extensive list of kitchen amenities. Our linens, bathroom supplies and cleaning products have also been upgraded. There is also a new streaming hub, ceiling fan in the main bedroom, and even more seating around the gardens.
2023 once again brought devastating bushfires to Dolphin Sands. This was the largest and closest fire since the 2019 bushfire which stopped at our boundary line. Although our home and land were spared, the same cannot be said about the wildlife. Combined with yet another extremely dry summer, this recent fire has had a significant impact on local birds and animals. Dolphin Shores is a Land For Wildlife reserve, and this year we are home to more wildlife than ever before as they seek water, food and shelter. Our trees, shrubs and grasses are plentiful, and we put out water on a regular basis. We are seeing new bird species nesting here, and the animals becoming bolder. While it is a privilege to be able to share our land with such wonderful creatures, we remind all our guests that they are wild, and must be left to freely seek out their own natural food supply, and should not be approached.
