Dolphin Sands is a 9-mile sandspit that separates Moulting Lagoon from Great Oyster Bay on Tasmania's East Coast. Conveniently close to Swansea, Bicheno, and Coles Bay, Dolphin Sands is renowned for its beautiful Nine Mile Beach and proximity to the best of Tasmania's East Coast attractions and activities.
Dolphin Shores is located at the highly-desirable eastern tip of Dolphin Sands. Most of the 243 properties at Dolphin Sands are either undeveloped or sit on little more than sand and Marram grass. Dolphin Shores is very different, with established trees, shrubs, lawn, resident wildlife, and one of only 9 properties with Nine Mile Beach frontage in excess of 150 metres. Not only is it quiet and private, but we are just a short walk away from Bagot Point Coastal Reserve, where Moulting Lagoon and the Swan River meet Great Oyster Bay. Bagot Point can be reached by beach or road, and is a popular spot for fishing, launching boats, and other water activities. Just a little beyond Bagot Point are Swanwick Bay and Pelican Bay, where pelicans are often seen resting. Our proximity to The Hazards of Freycinet National Park across the clear water of Great Oyster Bay makes for a spectacular sight come sunset.
The things we all take for granted everyday are a little different here. No street lights means a spectacular view of the night sky, no through-traffic or footpaths means we hear the birds and waves, and no high-rises means we can take in the nature around us. Our water supply is beautiful fresh rainwater, and the beach is clean and clear for swimming year-round without worry of contamination. Finally, the setting of our house amongst 5 acres of bush ensures total privacy from all directions.
Escape the everyday; escape to Dolphin Shores.
